Meet The Sensei's
Michael Rios
Sensei Michael began practicing Karate at 8 years old - and started Renshinkan at the age of 11. Ten years later, at age 18, he had earned his black belt. Now, Sensei Michael is the owner and Head Sensei of Lake Placid Renshinkan Karate, where he strives to bring out the best in every student he meets, in or out of the dojo.
When Sensei Michael is not in the dojo, you will find him enjoying the great outdoors, or keeping track of the newest development in the anime world.
Sara Rios
Sensei Sarah began training in Renshinkan in 2003. Becoming a black belt in 2010, she continued teaching and training with the Lake Placid dojo and has touched the lives of all of her students ever since.
When Sensei Sarah is not in the dojo she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and exploring the great outdoors via kayak.
